rf relay

RF relays are special type of switch that allows the signals to be transmitted without using of wires. But it achieves this by harnessing a little thing called radio waves. Radio waves are some form of electrical energy that can go through the air, linking various segments of electronic parts together to allow communication in between them. An RF relay converts electrical signals (similar to small bursts of energy) into radio waves. It sends out these radio waves through an antenna (a small tower) that catches the waves. The electrical signals, after transmission on the light laser or tube, have to be converted back into electrical signals, once they reach the other end. The receiving device, including a speaker or display, will then use these signals to perform its function. Radio-Frequency (RF) relays provide an important function for a large number of products that rely on wireless RF communications—in our cell phones, TV remote controls and many other consumer electronic devices.

The RF relays play a very vital role as they enable cooperation of electronic devices. Typically an RF relay is sent signals from a type of device such as a switch, remote control or sensor that detects something in the environment. What the RF relay does is process these electrical signals, amplify them; thereby, making it possible for them to be used over longer distances. Next, the data is converted into radio waves and transmitted to the opposite side. When the radio waves reach the receiver, they are converted back into electrical signals. These signals are then transmitted to an output device such as a speaker that can produce sound, a display that can render images, or a motor that can move something. In fact, the RF relays can also function in reverse. This allows them to receive radio waves and translate those back into electrical signals that can be utilized in an electronic circuit.

How RF relay works in electronic circuits

RF relays play an extremely important role in communication systems. Without wires, they assist in connecting the nodes of a communication channel enabling more rapid transfer of information. You will be able to find RF relays in ordinary communication devices such as wireless routers which are used to connect us with the internet, cell phones that allow a person to talk with another person, and radios that let us listen to songs. They allow seamless and easy communication between devices, making sure that people are always connected to each other, irrespective of their locations. In this day and age, where everyone uses technology to maintain contact with friends and family, this is extremely important.

Armature Relay: This has a mechanical part known as the armature, which opens and closes the circuit to regulate how electricity flows. This type is more powerful handling.
